Introduction

The NTA (National Test Agency) is expected to release the registration form of JEE Mains 2025 in November 2025. This update has been received from the official website of NTA https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/ . NTA will conduct JEE Mains 2025 exam in two sessions in January and April. The exact date of these sessions will be announced on its official websites.

JEE Mains 2025 Exam will be conducted in computer based format. There will be no scene of pen and paper. Another advice to the condidates is not to miss any important update of JEE Mains 2025 Exam.

JEE Mains 2025 Eligibilty Criteria

  • There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Mains 2025 Exam.
  • Candidates can appear in the exam for three consecutive years from the year of passing class 12.
  • Candidates must have passed class 12 in 2023/2024 or appearing in 2025 from any board.
  • 75% marks required in 12 class after qualifying JEE Mains to take admission in NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.

JEE Mains 2025 Syllabus

JEE Mains 2025 consists of two papers:-

  • Paper 1 is for to take admission in BE/BTech courses. This paper contains questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of class 11 and 12.
  • Paper 2 is for to take admission in BArch and BPlan courses. This paper is divide in two parts – Paper 2A and Paper 2B. Paper 2A is for BArch and Paper 2B is for BPlan. Paper 2A contains questions of Mathematics, General Aptitude and Drawing while Paper 2B contains questions of Mathematics, General Aptitude and Planning Based questions.

Mathematics : Sets, Relations and Functions, Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations, Matrices and Determinants, Permutations and Combinations, Mathematical Inductions, Binomial Theorem and its Simple Applications, Sequence and Series, Limits, Continuity and Differentiability, Integral Calculus, Differential Equations, Coordinate Geometry, Three-dimensional Geometry, Vector Algebra, Statistics and Probability, Trigonometry, Mathematical Reasoning.

General Aptitude : General Aptitude divide in two parts.

  • Awareness of persons, Buildings, and Materials: Objects, Texture related to Architecture and Build-envirounmentVisusalising three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings. Visualizing. Different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual. Numerical and Verbal)
  •  Three-dimensional- perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportions of objects, building forms and elements, colour texture harmony and contrast Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms both 2D and 3D union, subtraction rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3D views of objects, Creating two-dimensional and three-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms

Drawing : Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces, etc), landscape (riverfronts. Jungle. Gardens, trees. Plants, etc.) and rural life. 

Paper 2B (BPlan)

  • Social Science: The idea of nationalism, nationalism in India, pre-modern world, 19th-century global economy, colonialism, and colonial cities, industrialization, resources, and development, types of resources, agriculture, water, mineral resources, industries, national economy; Human Settlements
    Power-sharing, federalism, political parties, democracy, the constitution of India
    Economic development- economic sectors, globalization, the concept of development, poverty; Population structure, social exclusion, and inequality, urbanization, rural development, colonial cities, 
  • Thinking Skills: Comprehension (unseen passage); map reading skills, scale, distance, direction, area, etc.; critical reasoning; understanding of charts, graphs, and tables; basic concepts of statistics and quantitative reasoning.
